Individual therapy

In individual therapy, you and I will work together to address the challenges you’re experiencing in life, whether that be related to mental health, stress, or interpersonal difficulties. I tailor my therapy approach to best address your unique needs. I primarily practice therapy from an integrative perspective that draws on techniques from cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to provide the best possible care.

I will first schedule a 15-minute consultation call (no fee) to better understand what you’re looking to get out of therapy and to determine if my experience will be a good fit for you before scheduling the first appointment.

Therapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes ($300). In the first few sessions, I conduct a comprehensive assessment of your mental health, interpersonal functioning, and personal background to inform how I plan to approach your treatment. I then present this plan to you and, if we agree to work together, we will schedule weekly individual therapy sessions. I will work collaboratively with you to determine the number of sessions that are optimal to reach your goals.

I do not accept insurance currently. I do offer a sliding scale fee depending on your unique circumstances.

At the moment, I am only able to provide virtual services.

Please note: I am currently supervised by Dr. Sarah Bannon (https://bannonpsych.com) as I accrue hours for licensure in New York State. I currently hold a limited psychology permit, which allows me to see clients under Dr. Bannon’s supervision.

COuple Therapy

In couple therapy, my focus is on improving the relationship between you and your partner. I primarily practice Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (for more information about this approach, see https://ibct.psych.ucla.edu/about/), which is a research-supported therapy that focuses on developing greater awareness of conflict patterns, increasing acceptance of both oneself and one’s partner, and building skills for healthy communication. I have advanced training in this approach and will pull from other approaches (e.g., dialectical behavior therapy, emotion-focused therapy) as needed to provide the best possible treatment approach. I am an expert in intimate relationships and have published several scientific studies that have focused on how stress and trauma impact couples.

Couple therapy sessions are typically 45-50 minutes ($300). In the first four sessions, I conduct a comprehensive assessment of your relationship functioning, relationship history, and personal background to inform my approach to your treatment. I then present my initial understanding of your relationship difficulties to you and how my treatment plan can help you achieve your goals. If we agree to work together, we will schedule weekly couple therapy sessions.
